How to write a custom rule. 

As far as I've investigated, the basic steps are:

  - In PMD you have a rule designer you can use for create a custom rule. For instance,

  - Once you have a custom rule created in PMD, I guess [[https://wiki.kuali.org/display/STUDENTDOC/4.4.2+Custom+Sonar+Rules|there is a method to pass this information to sonar]], 
I've not dive into it so far now
